Ashby site achieves AA+ in unannounced BRCGS audit

Our Ashby site has achieved an AA+ grade following an unannounced BRCGS audit, reflecting the team’s year-round work to maintain food safety standards.

BRCGS sets standards that help food businesses manage product safety, quality and the controls used in day-to-day operations. An independent audit gives customers confidence that these practices are in place. Because this audit was unannounced, the team had no prior notice to showcase their high standards as part of their normal working day.

At our Ashby site, that readiness is built through regular internal audits, monthly food safety meetings and ongoing reviews of site documentation and practices. The audit concluded with an AA+ grade and a small number of minor non-conformances.

For customers, the result provides independent assurance that Ashby’s food safety and quality controls are embedded in everyday operations. The unannounced audit tested how those controls work in practice, reinforcing confidence in the site’s day-to-day handling of their products.

Located in the Midlands, our Ashby site combines a central location with experience supporting a range of customers across the food industry. Operating 24 hours a day, the site brings together an experienced warehouse team, repacking facilities and BRCGS AA+ certification to support customers’ day-to-day logistics needs.

Level access doors and an external loading yard support loading and unloading, while secure trailer and vehicle parking, on-site 24-hour security and CCTV help protect customers’ goods. Advanced EDI, GPS and logistics management information systems support coordination and visibility across operations, with modern LED lighting throughout the facility.
