What is Equality

Achieving an inclusive culture

Lucie Trpisovska

Compliance Manager

What are your day-to-day responsibilities?

I support the Senior Transport Manager and the whole transport operation in terms of meeting all the legal compliance standards. I take care of the whole fleet and help ensure we fulfil the promises made to our customers and undertake deliveries on time. I really like working with the drivers and ensuring that all the documentation is up to date and within the law.

Why did you choose to work in the transport industry?

I accidentally fell into working in the transport industry about seven years ago and it’s a really good industry to work in. The opportunities to progress within Howard Tenens Logistics are excellent and I haven’t looked back since joining. There is a great team spirit here, which makes it such a nice place to work.

Is the transport industry becoming more inclusive?

There are more and more women coming into the industry and they can make a real difference. We are a huge asset to the team, and come up with different solutions to the problems and resolve them.

Is diversity a good thing?

We have colleagues from different cultures and different environments. We can share a joke, we can learn from one another and, even though we may not always agree, that doesn’t matter because we can create a good solid team and work towards one aim.

Would you recommend the transport industry as a career?

If you enjoy a fast-changing environment and quick decision making, then I think the transport industry is for you and you should just give it a try!
