Howard Tenens Customer Christmas Communication

Dear Customer

As ever, I hope this latest message finds you, your family and colleagues well.

Since our last update in November, at the start of the second National Lockdown, we have experienced more highs and lows as the country tries to navigate its way around the ever-changing position related to the pandemic.  From the highs of learning that the vaccine roll-out would commence and having the opportunity to have wider bubbles for Christmas, to the recent lows of Christmas being much more tightly controlled and a new, potentially more virulent, strain of Covid creating additional tiers.

As a business we have continued to engage with our colleagues, suppliers and customers alike.  The message internally remains one of ensuring that we follow the Government guidance at all times and follow the mantra…Hands – Face – Space.

One major change across our business, was the creation of ‘Covid Marshalls’ at all sites, these colleagues are empowered to ensure that our operations are carried out in line with Government guidance, as well as our own internal policies.

You may have noticed, as we have, that parcel carriers have started to restrict delivery options, and in some cases are only offering economy services instead of their usual next day options along with removing surcharged services such as timed deliveries.  It would appear that the networks are struggling to cope with demand currently, our teams will continue to monitor the situation and will of course be in contact directly should the need arise.

I would like to close by wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.  Please keep safe and well and we will be in touch in the New Year.

Signed on behalf of Howard Tenens Logistics Ltd.
