JOB SUMMARY

Provide a professional foundation for the Commercial Department, responsible for various key tasks such as commercial analysis and database upkeep, support for client projects and business efficiency planning. There will be an element of working with key customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and that all commitments and deadlines are met. Provision of commercial support to all divisions and supporting the Commercial Manager on all major projects as well as providing ad hoc support to other divisions of the Group.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business

  • Completion of RFI’s and RFQ documentation and/or pre-checks where required.
  • Management of initial new enquiries and continuing to provide support throughout the process
  • Management of consultancy enquiries
  • Creation of operating agreements and proposals.
  • Creation of cost models for new business•Ownership of new business CRM
  • Send out weekly updates of leads to the Commercial Team

Existing Business

  • Cost model builds/ analysis to understand the profitability of key customers within the group
  • Ownership of existing customer CRM ensuring all rate reviews are completed
  • Management of the monthly site update for depots•Key Account Management support with regards to ongoing/future commercial discussions.
  • Customer Services/relationships management and improvement

General

  • Undertake personal development and training.
  • Support key stakeholders in delivering the commercial strategy
  • Adhoc marketing support to include content creation, PR, newsletters, design
  • General support to the commercial team and senior team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES

  • Excellent self-motivation and self-discipline
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in Word, PowerPoint and excel
  • Ability to work as a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to coordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, staff, management and suppliers.
  • Flexibility – the ability to adapt and cope with the unexpected
  • Travel – the role will require travel between our UK sites with the potential for an operational secondment in as part of a career progression plan

CREDENTIALS QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent PC literacy with the ability to quickly learn to use new systems
  • Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook skills
  • Degree-level education is an advantage.
  • UK Driving license
