Pure inspiration

5 years ago, a quality organic produce company based in Dorset contracted Howard Tenens to implement a warehousing solution for their products offering the best value for money option. As a truly independent supplier of organic produce they were experiencing logistic issues regarding stock being miss-managed and reports showing not only excess stock but large quantities of out-of-date stock.

Howard Tenens immediately created more visibility of the throughput of the products and stock holding. Systems were set up enabling our customer to totally understand how their supply chain operated; also a suite of reports was generated to provide comprehensive feedback and clarity of key performance indicators.

In order to be more environmentally responsible, especially for an organics produce customer, Howard Tenens were tasked, 6 months ago, to develop ways in which to make our warehouse more efficient and therefore reduce its impact on the environment.

In line with our partnership approach, Howard Tenens conducted an in-depth feasibility study and cost benefit analysis into various energy efficient lighting options. The results were relayed to our customer and these demonstrated a significant cost saving with return on investment being realised within the first year and a 75% saving on our customer’s utility bill.



Howard Tenens successfully trialled and implemented this environmentally friendly lighting solution which has made our warehouses more efficient and has significantly reduced our customer’s utility costs.

Given the huge success of this project Howard Tenens introduced the initiative to other customers who are now moving into this more resourceful lighting solution in which to save on their utility bills.
