September saw the end of another financial year for the Group and it was a year of extremely rough trading conditions
which resulted in a number of our fellow logistic companies struggling to achieve the results of previous years. I am pleased to say, however, that due to the dedication and hard work of all members of staff at every level Howard Tenens have seen both turnover and profits increase. The Group has expanded our property portfolio by some 200,000 ft≤, this is through completion of new units at both Sharpness and Andover, as well as the acquisition of 70,000 ft≤ of warehousing in Aveley and London. During the course of the year we have strengthened our management team with the recruitment of Bob Thomson and Steve Francis, at senior positions, but also with a number of appointments throughout the Group's management, including Gaven Jones, Wayne Taumata, Glenn Wilkinson, Mike Jones, Steve Coombs, Tony Donkin and Colin Bray. We are all looking forward to next year as we have a number of exciting projects coming on stream, including Twinings Tea, Porsche Aftermarket Distribution and our new facility at Felixstowe Port. 2007 will no doubt be an exciting year and we look forward to not only bringing on new clients, but also developing our relationships with our existing clients through a proactive approach and a high level of service. |
