History
Howard Tenens is a family-owned company that has been trading for over 50 years.
First established in 1953, the Company moved to Swindon in 1958. It became a plc in 1966 and was taken over in 1982 by Espley-Tyas, to become part of their European wide group of companies. At this stage in Howard Tenens' development it was not only a logistics provider but was also involved in the manufacture and sub-assembly for the automotive industry.

Peter Morris, the current owner and Chief Executive, headed a management buy out in 1983. Since then the Company has gone from strength to strength with the acquisition of sites in Ashby de la Zouch, Andover, Aveley, Boston, Dagenham, Sharpness, Swindon, West London and partnership bases in Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds and Derby.
Throughout its history the Company has been heavily involved in the automotive industry with major clients such as Honda and Rover, and also in food product distribution for companies such as Mars, ABInBev, Premier Foods, Organix and Kerrys Ingredients.
